Mideast Meet of Champions- Seniors, sign up now to be a part of the 22nd annual Mid East Meet of Champions, held on November 21st in Kettering, Ohio.  All expenses are pain by the Illinois Track & Cross Country Coaches Association.  Last years boys team from Illinois won the Championship over Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

Composto, Loyola Win




Loyola Senior Nico Composto (left picture) comes from behind to defeat Andrew Smith of York (right) and Martin Grady of Fenwick.  All three fininshed inder 15:00 for three miles at the Niles West Sectional.  Loyola took the team title.  York girls won over Whitney Young.  Right-OVERLOOKED?  Maine South plans to do some damage as they qualify for State for the second year in a row.

Walt Disney World

Megumi Yoshi of Niles West finished 7th individually, and Whitney Young won the Elite Girls Division at the 14th annual Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic.  Lavinia Jurkiewicz lead Whitney Young with a 2nd Place finish.

Despite another wrong turn, Naperville Central's Amanda Fox
wins the Championship filght in 17;53 to win at the Wheaton North
Flighted Invitational.  Naperville North scores 23 points to beat
York

  • Naperville Central's Amanda Fox (right) wins the AAA girls race in 17:45 over Olivia Jones of Buffalo Grove  RESULTS 
  • Pat Lesiewicz of Schaumburg wins the Lake Park Invitational in 14:44.  Melissa Schimdt of Hoffman Estates wins the girls race in 17:02 (3 miles)  RESULTS
  • Mckinzie Schulz of Benet Academy wins the Marmion/Rosary Invitational, running 19:02 for 5k.  Nate Young of Glenbard East wins the boys race in 16:04.   RESULTS
  • Phil Fairleigh of Cary Grove runs 15:28 for 5k while winning the Wauconda Invitational.  Marianne Collard of Crystal Lake South wins the girls race in 18:27.  RESULTS


Benet Academy's McKinzie Schulz is shooting for a State Championship this season. 
After a successful track season that included a state championship, a spot on the Caribbean Scholastic
team and the USATF World Youth team, she's in line to achieve her goals.
